From my 'Red List' series, this small bat might look scary but is really useful! Bats eat about 25% of their weight each night in insects, removing those stinging, buzzing and crawling bugs from your garden as you enjoy a summer night. Unfortunately they rely on ancient woodland to sleep in old trees and as they are increasingly rare, they struggle to find a home.
